Top Researchers

John M. Keller 

​

He was an American Educational Psychologist and a had a PhD in Instructional Systems and Technology. Keller created the ARCS model of Instructional Design to motivate learners of all age groups in learning settings, whether educational or corporate. He contributed to and pioneered a united front in motivational studies and how Motivation plays a critical role in learning.​

Dr. John D. Bransford

​

Is the leader in Anchored Instruction created in 1990. He contributed to the field of human cognition and human learning and the design of technology-enhanced learning environments. He was an Emeritus Professor of Education at The University of Washington College of Education in Seattle, Washington.

Theorists and their influence

Lev Vygotsky  

​

In addition to developing the concept of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and scaffolding, Lev Vygotsky has inspired other researchers and leaders in the field of Instructional design by encouraging others to create and bring a focus on interactive and collaborative learning, online presence, and collaborative and meaningful social interactions with peers and teachers via an online format.

Jerome Bruner

​

Besides expanding on Vygotsky's work on ZPD, social interactions, and scaffolding, he created an active learner curriculum to help further cement knowledge through scaffolds. Jerome Bruner inspired researchers and other leaders in the field of instructional design by recreating and encouraging them to build more flexible opportunities for learning through an online social platform that works to expand on each learner's points of view, knowledge, creativity, and Motivation.
